  After one of our favorite bohemian restaurants was closed down we decided to try somewhere else.  We were very happy with our decision.
  I Will differently go back. Service was great The food was great

  This is a place to indulge in "honest food," i.e. simply-prepared chow that's unpretentious, wholesome, and good quality.  The food, décor, and even the servers' outfits are the exact opposite of trendy.  Classic Eastern European cuisine is typically heavy on fats and starches, but the Missus and I like to loosen our belts once in a while because it's oh-so-satisfying. There are no veggie wraps or carrot juice here.  Portions are huge and you'd half-expect a grandmotherly type to admonish you for not devouring every morsel.  
  
  Dinners begin with a basket of rye & white bread and a choice of soup or salad.  The house poppy seed dressing is amazing.  Most entrees fall within two categories--roasts or fried cutlets.  On this visit, I had the roast  1/2 chicken.  The skin was roasted to crackly perfection but the white meat was a tad dry.  On our previous visit I enjoyed "roast half-and-half"--two pieces of pork tenderloin, one roasted and one breaded.  There are also sausages, meatloaf, sandwiches and (for those who absolutely must eat 'healthy') grilled orange roughy.  Rounding out the menu are daily specials.  On the weekday of our visit, these included Hungarian goulash and pickled beef svickova blanketed under sour cream gravy.
  
  To ensure that no one leaves hungry, the kitchen fills any voids on the plate with hefty sides.  You can choose two from a list that includes bread dumplings, sauerkraut, sweet & sour cabbage, rice, and potatoes.  The surprisingly reasonable entrée price also includes coffee or tea and a piece of homemade kolacky.  I like to wash their food down with a glass of wine because for only $5.00 they fill the goblet to the brim.  To avoid long waits on weekends, we try to arrive before 5 PM.  But even when the dining room is packed, the service hums like a well-oiled clock.

  Every other time we've been here it's been amazing!  We had family in from out of town for Mother's Day and decided this would be a great treat for everyone.  Wrong!  We made the mistake of getting the All You Can eat at $21 per person which sounded like a great deal.  A choice of 3 meats.  We chose breaded pork tenderloin, baked chicken and beef.  Pork tenderloin was very thin. All of the meats were incredibly dry.  Our waitress was so nice but she was definitely working her butt off with too many tables because we saw her only once after our food came.  We got refills on our drinks after being empty for almost twenty minutes.   There was plenty of food so we never asked for seconds on anything.  However, we did ask if we could take what was left on the table and we were told "no, it gets thrown out".  WHAT?!?!?  We clearly were not taking advantage of the all you can eat since we never got seconds and yet they'd rather throw out anything left vs give it to the patrons who paid for it!!!
  Now comes dessert.  They were out of some of the items so we got a plate of scratchy dry pound cake and poppyseed kolacki.  
  
  I would go back for dinner another time but I would NEVER recommend this restaurant on a busy holiday.  They cook in bulk so therefore it loses the home cooked, old school, stick to your ribs food.  
  
  Very disappointed and embarrassed in front of the out of town guests we convinced to go with us.

  In my new travel job adventure, I challenged myself to eat dinner at local restaurants, no chains.
  Its a family friendly place, but I would say gears more toward the older generation. Great service, attentive bussers, dinner is served with a basket of Rye bread, Kaiser roll and butter. Salad, choice of veggie or soup, even comes with dessert and coffee or tea. They have a wide selection of entrees to please all tastebuds. The Chicken Paprika was very tender, moist, sauce was tasty, not too salty. The Dumplings were a surprise to me, I expected smaller bits of dough, it was more like large slices of bread to absorb the sauce. I chose Homemade Apple Strudel for dessert, it was all the real deal! As my first "Bohemian" style food experience I was not disappointed. I would go again.

  This restaurant is a diamond in the rough. It is so delicious!    I have probably eaten there about six times and I have never had a bad meal. Couple weeks ago the cousins and I went there for lunch. There were eight of us and they were so accommodating.  They made sure that we got a table that was out-of-the-way in a nice little corner so that we could talk and socialize.  I wish we lived closer.  The prices are reasonable. I think if you go there you won't be disappointed. If you like bohemian food this is the place for you.
